It is a Fringe Festival to the UN COP26 Conference on Climate Change in Glasgow in November. Based on the themes of the UN Sustainable Development Goals , the idea is to showcase what Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh are doing in response to the challenges of climate change and the need to reduce our carbon emissions.
Everyone in Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh (individuals, groups, schools, communities) has been invited to be a part of this, sharing and celebrating what they are doing.

Festival background
The Festival idea was the result of discussions which took place between September and December 2020 with SCA supporters, individuals and groups in the Skye, Raasay and Lochalsh area of the Highlands of Scotland. The UN Conference, COP26, in Glasgow, is critical in the global strategy to address Climate Change and secure agreement from all nations to tackle the challenges of Climate Change and reduce carbon emissions. The intention of the Festival is to increase awareness of the issues, celebrate climate action and demonstrate some of the solutions.
